Project: On the Nile Water Table

Location: Cairo, Egypt

Installed: August 2011

Designed and fabricated for the monumental renovation of the Children's Museum in Cairo, Egypt, the Nile River exhibit features the most intricately sculpted water table in Boss Display's history. The exhibit captures the essence of the Nile River through three separate interactives. The kid-sized submarine includes a digital periscope, sonar radar, and a unique underwater excavation station. The replica of an ancient Egyptian riverboat is complete with fishing rods to reel in molded rubber creatures surrounding the boat. The Nile River water table is an artfully crafted, sculptural and interactive exhibit complete with a large wooden water wheel, a shaduf, and water toys to manipulate water flow.
