Aberdeen Marina Club

Project: Bubble Tubes

Location: Aberdeen, Hong Kong, SAR China

Installed: January 2012

This exhibit allows users to experiment with air pressure and color-changing bubbles by maneuvering levers and air vents. Two of the tubes are dedicated to water and bubbles, while two tubes are dedicated to air. The water changes color automatically, and children can introduce air by pushing a lever. Two air tubes house lightweight objects that fly through the tubes when the user connects an air vent to a tube and closes the circulation of air by covering a plate of perforated metal.
